Wouldn’t You Miss Me At All?

Syd Barrett has died at the age of 60. The former Pink Floyd co-founder, who it seems is regretfully best known for his widely publicized drug-induced breakdown, died quietly several days ago, (rumored cause of death was either cancer or complications from diabetes). Along with the early Floyd records, Barrett also released two solo albums that are uncomparable, his sound was truly his own. Below are several tracks and a few quality covers. “Dark Globe” is my personal favorite.

Dark Globe
Octopus
Golden Hair
Late Night

from “The Madcap Laughs

Dolly Rocker
Effervescing Elephant (Take 2)

from “Opel

A Couple of Bonus Covers:
Golden Hair - Slowdive
Late Night - This Mortal Coil
